My name is Martin Weiss. I was born 1996 in Carinthia, Austria, and currently live and work as a filmmaker in Vienna.
My passion for filmmaking and editing started with my love for skateboarding. On weekends, my friends and I would film ourselves doing extreme sports, and I would edit the footage into short clips to upload on YouTube.
Cinema has always been a big part of my life. After finishing school, I decided to pursue film editing and began studying at the Film Academy Vienna (mdw) in 2019. Over time, I expanded my focus also to screenwriting and now I also direct short films, documentaries, and music videos.
In Carinthia, I am part of Kultur in der Mühle (KidM), an association that organizes cultural events and concerts in a historic mill surrounded by beautiful nature.
