Martin Weiss (born 1996, Carinthia, Austria) is a filmmaker and editor based in Vienna. His passion for filmmaking began through skateboarding, where filming and editing videos with friends sparked his interest in visual storytelling.
He studied editing at the Film Academy Vienna (MDW) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in directing and editing. His work as an editor has screened at festivals including Sarajevo Film Festival, Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis, Diagonale, and Vienna Shorts.
Alongside his editing work, Martin writes and directs short films, documentaries, and music videos. His own films have been shown at Interfilm Berlin and other international festivals. He is also an active member of Kultur in der Mühle and the Austrian Editors Association.
